Energy Conservation Measures

Project consisted of STEAM SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS: which included repairs to steam piping, condensate piping, steam equipment, condensate equipment, piping insulation, controls equipment, and air handling units; MOTOR UPGRADES: which included replacing existing motors with high efficiency motors and drive equipment, including variable frequency drives (VFD) with basic control, in Cincinnati Medical Center Building 1; CONTROLS SYSTEM UPGRADE: which included providing a connection from the Fort Thomas Domiciliary to the Cincinnati Medical Center Energy Management System, including all equipment necessary for two way communication and remote control of the Fort Thomas Systems; ADDITIONAL CONTROLS UPGRADES: which included providing new energy management control devices and panels to replace existing Energy Management Controls sub-systems, and incorporate extended VFD controls; REPLACEMENT OF ADDITIONAL MOTORS: which included replacing existing motors with energy efficient motors and drive equipment in Cincinnati Medical Center Buildings 8,13,15 and 64.
