About Us

Being a general contractor, Industrial Maintenance Services (IMS) has experience in many different types of construction projects, such as building renovations, restorations, demolition, new construction, industrial construction, millwrighting/piping, and structural steel erection. From these and other projects over the course of their careers, our employees have gained a vast and extensive knowledge of the construction industry. Our wide network of construction industry experts, depth of knowledge, exceptional customer service allows us to offer unsurpassed preconstruction, construction, structural engineering, and post-construction services for some of the most complex private and public sector projects in the country.

Our performance on these projects has resulted in many satisfied customers. We have built strong professional relationships with customers such as the General Services Administration, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, State of Michigan, Michigan Department of Transportation, and Michigan Department of Education.

From below the ground and up, IMS project managers and trade superintendents manage general construction projects with the utmost professionalism. Customer satisfaction for the owner and architect are our top priorities. Timeliness and quality are important to everyone, and IMS tradesmen and managers take this to heart. The customer is always part of the team regarding the schedule, costs, and unexpected extra work.

IMS provides the manpower, equipment, and other resources to self-perform many of the tasks required on our construction projects. However, many of our projects require the use of several different specialty trade subcontractors in conjunction with our own self performance. If we do not have the required resources, expertise, or experience to self-perform a specific task, we solicit subcontractors who do. We select our subcontractors based on experience and value provided to our customer. We use the most qualified personnel to complete the project in the most time and cost-effective manner.

There are no surprises with IMS, and subcontractors who perform their work with the same diligence can rest assured that timely payment for services rendered are also part of our total quality mission.
