Repair Roads and Walks for Safety

Completely prepared site for road and sidewalk operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, traffic control and temporary pedestrian routing, and furnished labor and materials and perform work for the road and sidewalk improvements for the VA Central Iowa campus. The work for this project included complete demolition, removal, and replacement of roads and walks shown on plans. The grading and drainage of the improvements were matched to existing conditions with no utility impacts. The utility related items for this project were limited to storm water structure/pipe installations and casting adjustments. An existing retaining wall along AM Vet Drive was replaced with sidewalk improvements, and a new retaining wall was installed along Euclid Ave to help reduce erosion.
