Construct Biomed Space

This project consisted of a build out of approximately 4,500 SF of shell space in the existing Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center to relocate the Health Technology Maintenance (HTM) shop displaced by the Computed Tomography (CT) project. This project consolidated all HTM/Biomed storage and staff in one location to improve the department’s workflow. The new space includes Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and HTM storage for equipment and supplies, open workstations to accommodate repair and testing of HTM equipment, electronics work and storage office, waiting and other support spaces.
Specific elements of the work performed by our firm were infection control, concrete, metal fabrications, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, fire stopping / joint sealants, doors/frames/hardware, specialty wall finishes and toilet accessories.
Elements of work performed by our major subcontractors included metal stud framing, drywall, drywall finishing, LVT flooring, carpet, acoustical ceilings, plumbing, medical gas, fire protection, HVAC, and electrical.
